Position Description:
CGI is seeking experienced Network Engineers to join our growing Space Defence & Intelligence (SDI) team. This is an opportunity to work on mission-critical network infrastructure supporting Australias national security and advanced space capabilities.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for the design implementation and support of secure network environments across Defence and Space programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing configuring and maintaining secure network infrastructure
Supporting network integration with satellite communication systems and ground segments
Managing routing switching and network security across complex environments
Monitoring network performance and conducting troubleshooting and optimisation
Collaborating with systems Satcom and software engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions
Ensuring compliance with Defence security standards policies and accreditation requirements
Supporting system testing deployment and operational readiness activities
Maintaining accurate network documentation configurations and procedures
Contributing to incident response and continuous improvement initiatives
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Proven experience in network engineering within enterprise or secure environments
Strong knowledge of routing and switching (e.g. TCP/IP BGP OSPF VLANs)
Experience with network security technologies (e.g. firewalls VPNs IDS/IPS)
Exposure to satellite communications RF environments or defence networks (desirable)
Experience with network monitoring and management tools
Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA CCNP or equivalent) are desirable
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in secure multidisciplinary environments
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Active NV2 or PV Security Clearance (mandatory)
