We offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer within the Secure Network Services (SNS) team within the Technology division. This position will work closely with the customer engagement team network architecture team engineering build and run teams.
This position is responsible for providing expert technical services in relation to implementing managing operating and supporting high performance technology infrastructure.
The core responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Network Projects and Implementation (Build Role)
- Deliver network transformation project initiatives including traffic and routing migrations build and enablement of new strategic infrastructure.
- Implementation of network changes required to deliver a strategic design outcome.
- Provide detailed design and technical review of network changes including the troubleshooting of any network related issues.
- Support Business Project engagements. This involves reviewing customer requests providing recommendations of the network design outputs and providing appropriately translated customer outcomes into infrastructure requirements.
- Develop and influence relationships with all stakeholders acting as the key point of contact for Technical Consultations to ensure customer requirements are understood and outcomes delivered meet the needs of the customer.
- Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure solution designs meet networking standards.
- Drafting and co-ordination of change implementation plans.
What do I need
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong ownership mindset and positive attitude.
- 5 years hands-on experience supporting complex enterprise networks in large organisations.
- Strong technical expertise in Cisco Routing & Switching (BGP OSPF STP NX-OS N9K).
- Strong knowledge of data centre overlay technologies such as VXLAN EVPN (or equivalent).
- Experience with network automation and orchestration tools (e.g. Python PyATS Jenkins Robot Framework NDFC DCNM).
- Solid understanding of firewall technologies (Juniper SRX Check Point Fortinet NSX).
- Exposure to load balancing (F5 LTM/GTM/APM/ASM) PKI/crypto and DNS technologies.
- CCNP/CCIE highly regarded.
