Responsibilities
Business Growth & Sales
Drive new customer acquisition and retention to expand the SME portfolio
Meet revenue balance sheet and P&L targets through cross-selling and increasing "wallet share"
Grow CASA deposits and improve customer transactability
Develop and implement SME banking strategies across branch networks
Relationship Management
Serve as the single point of contact for SME customers banking needs
Maintain high service standards and resolve escalated customer issues
Conduct proactive client visits and engagement to reduce dormancy
Product & Strategy Development
Support the creation and launch of SME customer value propositions
Research competitor products and identify improvement opportunities
Provide product specialists with qualified cross-sell referrals
Risk & Credit Management
Monitor borrowing accounts and ensure healthy asset quality
Ensure compliance with credit covenants AML/KYC requirements
Maintain NPA ratios within tolerated levels
Reporting & Administration
Track and report on portfolio performance (financials sales customer metrics)
Ensure timely turnaround times for client applications
Support budget preparation and risk management processes
Key Measures: Revenue growth customer acquisition portfolio quality CASA growth NPS scores and NPA ratios.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Economics Marketing or any other related field
- A minimum of 3 years of working experience at Senior Officer level
- Professional banking qualification (e.g. CISI ACCA CPA or equivalent) is a plus
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and portfolio growth
- Experience with credit analysis and risk management
- Strong sales and business development capabilities
- Financial analysis and credit assessment skills
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation abilities
- Strategic thinking and commercial acumen
- Knowledge of banking products (trade finance treasury lending)
