We are looking for an experienced Mid-Senior Technical Sourcer for our client based in Cape Town South Africa. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong track record of sourcing high-quality technical talent across multiple disciplines.
As a strategic partner to recruiters and hiring managers you will play a critical role in building robust talent pipelines engaging passive candidates and driving innovative sourcing strategies to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to deeply understand technical hiring needs team structures and role requirements
  • Proactively source and engage passive candidates across platforms such as LinkedIn GitHub Stack Overflow and niche communities
  • Design and execute advanced sourcing strategies using Boolean search market mapping and talent intelligence techniques
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for critical and future technical roles
  • Conduct initial screening conversations to assess candidate fit motivation and alignment
  • Provide market insights including talent availability competitor activity and salary benchmarks
  • Champion diversity sourcing initiatives and inclusive hiring practices
  • Track and report on sourcing metrics and pipeline health
  • Continuously refine sourcing processes and contribute to employer branding initiatives


Requirements

What Were Looking For

  • 57 years of experience in technical sourcing or recruitment preferably within tech or high-growth environments
  • Proven experience sourcing for a wide range of technical roles (e.g. Software Engineers DevOps Data Engineers Product/Tech Specialists)
  • Strong expertise in Boolean search LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and convert passive candidates
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple roles simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in international or distributed teams
  • Familiarity with the South African and global tech talent markets
  • Knowledge of technical stacks programming languages and modern development practices
  • Experience using recruitment analytics and data to drive decisions
  • Background in employer branding or talent marketing initiatives
