JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing month end reconciliation month end financial statements and invoicing of groups expenses. This role involves liaising with clients and working closely with senior staff and managers and Partners. The Accountant will also contribute to streamlining workflows through technology and ensure compliance with all professional ethical standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare month end reconciliation for the preparation of management accounts including cash ATM and credit card receipt reconciliation.
Posting of month end journals including accuals prepayments leave and stock.
Preparation of bank reconciliation on a weekly basis.
Liaise with clients regarding reconciliation issues as directed by senior manager.
Prepare management accounts for hospitality clients including Companies Trusts and Partnerships up to review and sign-off stage.
Reconciliation and reimbursement calculation of group credit card expenses.
Work on ad-hoc tasks as required by senior manager and partner including documentation in relation to the purchase and sale of businesses.
Perform accounting-specific tasks as required by your Manager Partner or Director.
Use technology in line with the paperless office and help advance systems to streamline workflow.
Ensure compliance with all ethical pronouncements particularly APES 100 (Code of Ethics) and APES 300 (Members in Public Practice). Report and document any ethical issues to senior management.
Requirements
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant experience in accounting practice including understanding of debits and credits.
Excellent use of Microsoft Excel
Relevant experience in Xero accounting software
Excellent client communication and liaison skills.
Ability to manage workflow effectively.
Strong attention to detail accuracy and compliance.
Commitment to ethical standards and professional conduct.

Required Skills:
At least 4 years experience in Bookkeeping or accounting Xero and Xero Payroll Certifications Intermediate Word and Excel skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Desired Skills or Qualifications: Accounting degree Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word Certification; Well honed bookkeeping skills with above average communication skills Requires a keen eye for detail and proficiency in handling complex financial tasks.
