Exterior Equipment Project Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Exterior Equipment Project Manager to lead the technical convergence and development of exterior vehicle components. This role is responsible for coordinating engineering activities related to exterior equipment (such as bumpers sealing systems glazing and mechatronic components) and ensuring alignment with project performance targets.
The successful candidate will act as a key interface between engineering teams suppliers and project stakeholders driving progress and ensuring the delivery of high-quality compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical convergence of one or more domains related to exterior equipment components
Manage a team of engineers and technicians to achieve project objectives (QCDP: Quality Cost Delivery Performance)
Coordinate internal teams and external suppliers to ensure performance targets are met in line with project expectations
Oversee development activities for exterior systems such as:
Bumpers
Sealing systems
Glazing
Mechatronic components
Support the Chief Project Manager by:
Communicating project status
Escalating risks and potential deviations within the assigned scope
Facilitate issue resolution and lead the management of critical points
Ensure alignment with technical regulatory and process requirements
Requirements
Education & Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering or a related field
Proven experience in project management within the automotive sector preferably in exterior systems
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of exterior vehicle components and systems integration
Experience in managing cross-functional engineering activities
Knowledge of automotive development processes and project lifecycle
Familiarity with QCDP (Quality Cost Delivery Performance) management
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage critical situations
Ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary environment
Languages
Minimum professional proficiency in English (required)
Additional languages are a plus
