About the role.
Werelooking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team and help keep our plant running safely efficiently and this handson roleyoullapply your mechanicalexpertisetomaintainand improve equipment performance support production continuity and uphold McCainshigh standardsfor safety quality and operational excellence.
To support our 24/7 operations you will be working12 hourshifts rotating 2x 12 hour days 2x 12 hour nights then enjoying 4 days off.
Whatyoullbe doing.
Carrying out daily mechanical maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on plant equipment
Monitoring machinery performance to ensureoptimalavailability and efficiency
Completing planned and preventative maintenance tasks in line with site schedules
Ensuring all workcomplies withMcCain policies procedures and New Zealand Standards
Collaborating with all stakeholders including production teams to coordinate maintenance activities
Accurately documenting maintenance work parts usage and equipment performance
Identifying and escalating issues that mayimpactsafety quality or production
Contributing to a safe positive and teamfocused work environment
Whatyoullneed to be successful.
A relevant mechanical trade qualification
Proven experience in mechanical maintenance ideally within food manufacturing or a related industry
Strong understanding of CMMS systems and manufacturing programs (GMP HACCP Lean Quality Systems)
Ability to diagnose faults apply logical problemsolving and deliver effective repairs
A commitment to health safety and highquality workmanship
Strong communicationskills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
A proactive selfmotivated approach with a focus on ownership and results
