Hourly Rate starting at $25/hour
Skills Trainers work up to 16 hours per week in a 1:1 setting assisting an individual with developmental disabilities in participating in normative home and community-based activities. The goal of the skills trainer is to work with the individual to increase their daily independent and community living skills. This may include personal hygiene tasks meal preparation chores money management using the library making a purchase at a store or participating in a community activity such as swimming or using a gym. -Marlborough 8hrs/wk at $25/hr
-South End 15/hrs/wk at $25/hr
-Framingham 9hrs/wk at $27/hr
-Marlborough 4hrs/wk at $25/hr
-Sherborn 14hrs/wk at $28/hr looking for BCBA experience
-Dennis 16hr/wk at $25/hr
-Medfield 5hrs/wk at $35/hr
-Sudbury 5-10hrs/wk at $42/hr
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field such as education or psychology and at least two years working on skills development with individuals with developmental disabilities; or bachelors degree is in an unrelated field with a minimum of three years working with individuals with developmental disabilities; or high school diploma/GED and at least five years of relevant experience working on skills development with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and ability to use good judgment.
Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practices of individual empowerment and community integration.
Sensitivity to the needs of the population we support.
High energy level superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
Must hold a valid drivers license. Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport individuals.
