Bill Gosling Outsourcing are looking for a detail-oriented Philippine-licensed CPA Accountant with strong hands-on experience in BIR and PEZA compliance to join our finance team. The role is responsible for ensuring full tax and regulatory compliance for a PEZA-registered operation managing filings and payments supporting tax audits and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maximize appropriate incentives while minimizing regulatory risk.What Youll Do:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains financial records for companies by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
Maintains financial records for trust accounting
Oversees bank reconciliation processing and ensuring all cash transactions appropriately accounted
Reconciles general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing information.
Provides financial status information by preparing special reports; completing special projects.
Corrects errors by posting adjusting journal entries.
Supports Financial Analysts in assisting in analysis of revenue and expense trends and variances to budgets/forecasts
Maintains general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts; adjusting entries for amortizations prepaids; analyzing and reconciling retainage and accounts payable ledgers; preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals.
Secures financial information by keeping information confidential.
Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with federal state and local financial legal requirements.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Preparation of documents for external and client audits
Provides assistance in preparation of the operating and financial results of the business unit/region
Champion company core values and other company programs
Other duties as assigned
Education
University Degree or College Diploma in Finance or Accounting is required
Experience
Holder of a valid Philippine CPA license
Strong fundamental knowledge of basic accounting principles
Experience with account reconciliation and analysis
35 years of progressive accounting/tax experience; at least 23 years of direct experience working with BIR compliance and PEZA-registered companies (or comparable export zone experience).
Practical knowledge of the Philippine Tax Code VAT and withholding tax rules TRAIN law implications BIR filing systems (eFPS/eBIR) and PEZA regulatory requirements and incentive mechanisms.
Experience handling BIR and PEZA audits and coordinating with government agencies and external auditors.
Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP Oracle Xero QuickBooks etc.) preferred.
Previous experience in the collection or financial industry would be an asset
Certificates Licenses & Registration:
Employees in these jobs must possess or be working towards the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
