About the Team
As Canva continues to rapidly grow and expand its product offerings the Revenue Accounting function plays a critical role in navigating increasingly complex revenue models across both self-serve (B2C) and enterprise (B2B) channels. The Revenue Accounting team partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure scalable compliant revenue frameworks that support new product launches contract structures and global expansion.
What youd be doing in this role

We are looking for a Technical Revenue Accounting Senior Manager who is highly motivated to solve complex accounting challenges and support innovative monetization strategies. The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator partnering with finance product legal and commercial teams to ensure revenue is recognized appropriately across a wide range of offerings and channels. You will lead technical assessments evaluate new products and contract structures and establish accounting policies and positions.
What youll do:
- Provide technical revenue accounting guidance across B2C and B2B revenue streams including new product launches enterprise agreements and evolving monetization models
- Review customer contracts and product offerings to determine appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Legal Deal Desk Revenue Operations and FP&A to assess revenue implications of new features bundles and go-to-market strategies
- Lead technical accounting research and document positions on complex revenue topics including multi-element arrangements variable consideration and standalone selling price
- Establish and maintain revenue accounting policies and influence scalable processes and controls across the quote-to-cash lifecycle
Youre probably a match if:
- You have a Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field; CPA preferred
- You have deep technical expertise in revenue recognition under ASC 606 (US GAAP) across both high-volume B2C and complex B2B arrangements
- You have experience with technical accounting research policy development and supporting new product or pricing initiatives
- You bring experience in a public company or SOX-compliant environment; SaaS or technology industry experience preferred
- You are an effective communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive practical solutions in a fast-paced environment
