POSITION SUMMARY:
- Serve as the campus testing coordinator for Dickinson High School for all national and statewide assessments both operational and field testing online and paper/pencil during the school year and summer
- Serve as the manager of instructional materials for Dickinson High School
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Texas Teacher Certification
Experience:
- Minimum of three years teaching experience
- Experience in the administration of state assessments
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend all required coordinator training sessions meetings and TETNs with the Director of Assessment
- Serve as the campus testing coordinator for Dickinson High School for all national and statewide assessments both operational and field tests online and paper/pencil during the school year and summer
- Read analyze and comprehend all Coordinator Manuals Test Administrator Manuals and Test Administration Directions for all state testing programs
- Receive shipments and be responsible for all secure and non-secure testing materials
- Order additional testing materials as required
- Maintain security and confidentiality of all statewide assessments
- Collaborate with administrators counselors and enrollment staff on campus to determine the correct testing status of new students
- Collaborate with special education staff 504 coordinators dyslexia coordinators and LPAC personnel on the campus plan for each state test administration
- Help designate test administrators and other testing roles
- Create rosters for testing days
- Train online test administrators on site
- Use online tools to supervise and prepare for online test administrations including TELPAS STAAR Alternate 2 online TAKS Exit Retest and all STAAR End-of-Course assessments paper and online
- Schedule and conduct training for campus test administrators
- Verify the accuracy of pre-coded materials
- Prepare and direct the check-out of test materials to test administrators
- Distribute and collect testing materials for high school students at DALC Esmond Center CAP and homebound
- On testing days ensure proper testing procedures answer questions and resolve problems on the high school campus
- Collect materials from test administrators
- Ensure that all scorable materials are complete correct and submitted on time
- Ensure that all secure and non-secure materials are returned from the high school to the ESC according to the district schedule
- Coordinate the dissemination of state assessment Confidential Student Reports to campus permanent records and parents
- Assist with the interpretation of Aware data at Dickinson High School
- Coordinate the administration of the National Assessment of Educational Progress as Dickinson HS is selected to participate
- Work with campus personnel to plan and implement Advanced Placement testing at Dickinson High School
- Work with campus personnel to plan and implement ASVAB PSAT 8/9 PSAT SAT and ACT testing in Dickinson ISD
- Serve as the contact for Credit by Exam at Dickinson High School
- Coordinate state interim assessments CBA benchmark and other local testing at Dickinson High School
- Assist with teacher training on Eduphoria Aware
- Assist campus administrators with problems and answer questions related to local testing answer documents scanning and data
- Coordinate the annual distribution and collection of instructional materials to teachers and students at DHS
- Complete an annual instructional materials inventory using the Destiny system
- Receive all newly adopted instructional materials process instructional materials (barcode) and ensure instructional materials are entered into the Destiny system
- Remove all out-of-adoption materials from the Destiny system box them and dispose of them according to instructions from the district instructional materials manager
- Maintain well-organized bookrooms and testing rooms
- Other duties as assigned by the campus principal
