CAMP is seeking an experienced Corporate Staff Accountant II to join our Accounting team in its San Diego CA office. This role is integral in supporting corporate consolidations M&A and intercompany transactions and financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS excels in a fast-paced environment and can collaborate cross-functionally.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Consolidations:
- Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements for multiple business units and regions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements across jurisdictions
- Assist in preparation of supporting schedules
General Ledger & Intercompany Accounting:
- Create intercompany transactions reconciliations and eliminations across multiple subsidiaries
- Support purchase accounting and other M&A accounting projects
- Perform moderately complex account reconciliations including multi-currency transactions
- Work closely with tax and FP&A teams to support accurate transfer pricing and intercompany allocations
Process Improvement & Systems Optimization
- Identify continuous improvements in financial processes automation and reporting efficiencies.
- Assist with audits and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to optimize workflows and accounting software functionality
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Support
- Work closely with FP&A tax audit and legal teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
- Support business growth acquisition and investment decision activities
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in finance Accounting or a related field
- 4 years experience in a similar role
- Advanced knowledge in GAAP IFRS and multi-entity consolidations
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills required
- Ability to navigate moderately complex intercompany transactions and multi-currency accounting
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on data quality and integrity
- Effective as a team player and working autonomously
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment and with minimal supervision
Bonus Points
- CPA or progress toward certification
- Experience supporting M&A transactions and post-merger financial integration and accounting
- Familiarity with transfer pricing
