Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the inventory and stock levels of our store. This is a full-time permanent position based in Pietermaritzburg South Africa. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock is replenished in a timely manner - Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies - Track and report on stock movements and trends - Handle stock transfers between stores and suppliers - Maintain accurate records of all stock transactions - Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock - Work closely with the sales team to ensure stock availability for promotions and sales - Identify slow-moving and excess stock and take necessary actions to reduce it - Ensure proper storage and handling of stock to prevent damage and loss - Implement and maintain stock control procedures and policies - Train and supervise stockroom staff to ensure proper stock handling and management Qualifications and Skills: - High school diploma or equivalent required - Previous experience in stock control or inventory management preferred - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Attention to detail and accuracy - Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects - Knowledge of retail operations and stock management principles - Proven ability to analyze data and make informed decisions Benefits: - Competitive salary - Health insurance - Paid time off - Opportunities for growth and advancement within the company If you are a self-motivated and organized individual with a passion for stock management we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
