Position Overview: As a Stock Controller you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory levels of our warehouse. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure accurate stock levels timely order processing and efficient stock rotation. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills as well as a strong attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure availability of products for customers - Receive and process incoming stock and materials - Perform regular stock checks and report any discrepancies to management - Maintain accurate records of stock movements and transactions - Coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure timely delivery of orders - Implement and maintain inventory control procedures - Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy of inventory levels - Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any stock-related issues - Identify slow-moving or excess stock and take appropriate action to reduce inventory levels - Assist with the preparation and execution of stocktake activities - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the warehouse Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in stock control or inventory management - Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software - Strong mathematical and analytical skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Attention to detail and accuracy - Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects - Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting Contract Details: This is a full-time permanent position based in Durban South Africa. The working hours are Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work required during peak periods.
