Job Summary

Ensure implementation and continuous refinement of the Groups ESG framework policies and procedures

Work closely with portfolio managers analysts and investment teams to embed ESG metrics in client recommendations due diligence valuation models and investment decision making.

Develop ESG integration frameworks tailored to asset classes (equities fixed income alternatives infrastructure funds etc.).

Support development of ESG-themed products (green funds climate strategies impact investment portfolios).

Monitor ESG risks and opportunities across portfolios and markets.

Ensure compliance with relevant ESG and sustainability regulations (e.g. SEC EU SFDR NGX ESG guidelines ISSB standardsdepending on jurisdiction).

Prepare ESG and sustainability reports for regulators clients and internal management.

Engage with investee companies on ESG issues and track engagement progress.

Train employees senior management and board committees on ESG policies investment Integration and ethical standards. Work with Legal Risk and Compliance teams to ensure robust governance practices.

Competency and Skills Requirements

Excellent analytical and research capabilities.

Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products.

Knowledge of sustainability regulations and reporting requirements.

Ability to translate ESG risks into financial implications.

Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Ability to work independently and manage cross-functional projects.

High ethical standards attention to detail and strategic thinking.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Sustainability Environmental Science Law or related fields.

Professional certifications (CFA ESG Certificate SASB FSA GARP SCR or equivalent) an additional advantage.

57 years experience in finance investment research ESG or corporate sustainability.

Solid understanding of asset management capital markets and investment principles.

Strong understanding of global ESG frameworks.

Experience with ESG data providers is an asset.
