Job Summary
Job Goal: Somerville High is continuing a summer program for rising 9th grade students. The summer program will provide a positive and cooperative learning environment which will address student academic needs as well as their social emotional needs. This program is designed to orient students with Somerville High School to ease their transition from 8th to 9th grade.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred experience teaching 9th grade
- Experience with building relationships with students
- A strong ability to work with students of varying levels
- Ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment for students
- Strong organizational and effective communication skills
Terms of Employment
Seasonal/Yearly Employment
Location: Various Locations
Rate: $35/hr per hour worked
Mandatory Orientation and Professional Development Days: TBD
Program Schedule:
July 6 2025 July 31 2026
Monday through Friday 5 days a week
8:30am - 11:00am
Reports to: District Director of Summer Programs and Director of the SHS SummerSchool Program
