ABOUT THE TEAM:

As a Business Development Team Lead Germany you will build and lead a hybrid acquisition team focused primarily on telephone-based sales with selective field and event support when required.

Your team will convert prospective members into fully onboarded Tide Members through outbound calls qualification education and commercial conversion. You will operate as a player-coach driving performance daily while shaping culture structure and commercial strategy.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a high-impact leadership role at the centre of Tides German expansion.

You will:

  • Lead and develop a team of Business Development Executives focused on outbound acquisition

  • Support and attend in-person events or field activations when required

  • Set ambitious KPIs aligned to company OKRs and revenue goals

  • Drive daily performance rhythm across dials engagement conversion and quality

  • Listen to calls and coach your team to deliver exceptional compliant member experiences

  • Build dashboards and performance tracking frameworks

  • Run structured test-and-learn initiatives to improve conversion and workflow efficiency

  • Remove blockers by collaborating closely with Product KYC Compliance and Marketing

  • Take ownership of commercial results treating your team as a mini-business

This role is based in Berlin with hybrid working (23 office days per week).

WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Driving Acquisition & Revenue

  • Lead outbound telephone strategy to maximise conversion

  • Ensure performance across all lead types including colder segments

  • Continuously optimise call structure objection handling and upsell approach

  • Support field activity when required to drive brand presence and conversion

Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain high QA standards across all calls

  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory and onboarding requirements

  • Partner closely with KYC and Compliance to improve onboarding efficiency

Operational Excellence

  • Build clear processes and structured workflows

  • Use data to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions

  • Create a culture of accountability and high energy

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing to maximise ROI on lead investment

  • Partner with Product to feed back insights from the German SME market

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve conversion and member experience

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a commercially driven structured and energetic leader who thrives in a high-growth environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Fluent German (written and spoken) and strong English

  • 3 years experience leading sales teams

  • Strong background in outbound telesales or SME acquisition

  • Proven ability to drive revenue and improve conversion rates

  • Experience coaching call quality and developing sales talent

  • A data-driven mindset with experience running experiments

  • High ownership and accountability

  • Confidence influencing stakeholders across departments

  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving evolving environment

Experience in fintech payments banking or SME B2B sales is highly desirable.
