Job Summary
The Amazon Consumer Payments supports multiple payment products and processes millions of transactions every day across numerous countries and payment methods. Over 100 million customers and merchants send tens of billions of dollars moving at light-speed through our systems annually and use our products on and off Amazon.
We build systems that provide various payments features and process payments at an unprecedented scale with accuracy speed and mission-critical availability. We innovate to improve customer experience across the globe with support for currency choice pay using installments pay with reward points in-store payments pay on delivery credit and debit payments seller disbursements gift cards and many new exciting and challenging ideas are in the works.

Key job responsibilities
Experience with Linux/Unix
Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
Build scalable technology solutions using modern software engineering practices including APIs microservices and cloud infrastructure to support high-volume advertising operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers business stakeholders and engineering partners to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverable systems.
Apply operational excellence principles by developing monitoring alerting and automated testing frameworks that ensure system reliability and performance at scale.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
Contribute to AI/LLM automation initiatives by developing autonomous processing capabilities for campaign management and integrating Generative AI models into production workflows.
Drive continuous improvement through code reviews documentation and knowledge sharing while maintaining Amazons high engineering standards and accessibility requirements.
3 years of designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience in automating deploying and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C C# Java Python Golang PowerShell Ruby
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
