The opportunity

Could you be our newest addition to the People & Culture team within NZ! This Human Resources Advisor opportunity forms part of our Energy & Utilities business unit.

This is a unique opportunity suited to a committed and robust individual with experience working within a multi-facetted operational environment. The primary focus is to support the development and maintenance of a productive and safe working environment whilst achieving desired people outcomes.

This role will focus on providing strategic HR/ER advice whilst assisting with the coaching & development of individuals resulting in improved capability and utilisation of our learning resources.

What youll do

• Operate as a first point of contact for supervisors and line managers nationally.
• Provide quality and timely HR guidance and support that is in line with statutory requirements Downer NZ people frameworks and meets the needs of internal clients and stakeholders.
• Create develop and maintain a positive workplace culture within the E&U NZ business.

What were looking for

We are seeking applicants that currently reside or a looking to be based in Auckland. This opportunity would suit someone who is looking for career growth and has a strong background in generalist HR/ER.

• Bachelor of Human Resources or Industrial Relations is advantageous.

• Demonstrated and successful hands on experience in a HR related role particular interest in capability development would be highly desired.

• You are not afraid to challenge the status quo and call out areas for process improvement in a constructive manner.

• Ability to analyse or interpret information/data ensuring the most informed decisions are made.

• Passionate about people coupled with a risk mitigation mindset.
