As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol Walker in Sunnyvale TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail and mall location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents and support access points as needed. You will engage with guests and team members through strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and escalating concerns. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and mall common areas storefront perimeters parking areas and service corridors to help to deter suspicious activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation contacting site leadership and/or emergency services and supporting incident scene control.
• Monitor entrances high-traffic areas and restricted-access points assisting with access control processes and observing for policy violations theft indicators and/or disruptive behavior.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities patrol observations and incidents and communicate updates to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 years of security experience.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
