Husky Health has an outstanding opportunity for a Marketing/Communications Support Supervisor Program Support Supervisor 1 (NE S SEIU 925 Supv) (Temporary) to join their team.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position supports the mission vision and values of Husky Health Center (HHC) by providing in-person coverage for marketing and communications (Marcom) efforts including outreach promotion health education and student engagement.
This role contributes to an environment of inclusivity and access by maintaining regular contact with students and campus partners to execute HHC and Student Life strategy related to student health and wellbeing and by supporting student communications outreach education prevention and resource management within HHC.
This is a classified 12-month non-permanent position .50 - .80% FTE
ABOUT HUSKY HEALTH:
Husky Health Center a division of Student Life on the UW Seattle Campus is an AAAHC-accredited outpatient facility providing highquality health care to a wide range of individuals. Husky Health Center has 38000 patient visits thirds of these visits are by undergraduate and graduate students. One third of visits are by facultystaff retirees and others in the greater Seattle community. Husky Health is committed to supporting the UW Medicine Patients Are First guidelines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Student Education Outreach & Engagement 55%
Support HHC Marcom in general outreach efforts including presentations and community programs (e.g. UW Dawg Daze tabling and Zoom sessions with Parents and Families)
Oversee the execution of recurring events such as Fuel for Finals (distributing snacks to students) and Test Fest (free STI testing event for students).
May serve as an advocate for students on general health care matters interaction with the health care system or access to health care services unrelated to reproductive and sexual health as needed
Serve as staff co-advisor to the HHC Student Advisory Board (HHSAB).
In collaboration with the HHSAB engage frequently with Greek Life Registered Student Organizations Student Life units and other UW Seattle entities
Oversee ordering and stocking of safer-sex supplies and work with Marcom and the Director of Operations to manage inventory for Naloxone Fentanyl test strips and other harm-reduction supplies
Husky Health Center Marketing and Communications 35%
Respond to inquiries from students UW departments and the UW Seattle community through shared access to the HHC email inbox. Assist with routing inquiries appropriately in collaboration with the Manager of Marketing and Communications (Marcom) Health Services Manager and Executive Assistant
Provide direct supervision of HHC student employees in marketing communication and outreach roles
Contribute to the creation and publishing of social media posts
Assist in updating HHC education materials and conduct educational presentations on reproductive health as requested
Pick up and distribute print materials around campus such as brochures posters and yard signs
Work with HHC operations and facilities to maintain branding and improve the patient experience within the internal and external built environment
Other administrative responsibilities 10%
Other duties as assigned
Serve on HHC committees relevant to this position
Pay Rate Information
The salary information provided below is for a full-time position and will be prorated forpart-time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduation or equivalent and 3 years of applicable experience in marketing/communications support
OR
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license certification and/or registration.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. Marketing Communications)
Strong interest in college health and wellbeing
Experience with marketing and communication in higher education
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Standard Work hours: Monday Friday 8:00 am 5:00pm
