Job Purpose
The Senior Court Officer will provide professional support within youth justice courts representing children throughout court proceedings liaising with relevant professionals and ensuring the smooth running of court operations. This role requires daily attendance at Victoria Law Courts and participation in weekend and bank holiday rotas.
Key Responsibilities
Represent children during court proceedings safeguarding their interests.
Liaise with social workers legal representatives and other professionals involved in youth justice cases.
Prepare and manage court documentation and schedules to service the courts efficiently.
Support and guide junior staff as required.
Attend court in person daily including weekends and bank holidays on a rota.
Ensure compliance with youth justice procedures and legal frameworks.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of youth justice procedures.
Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Commitment to in-person attendance at Victoria Law Courts.
