You have:
- Enrollment in secondary or post-secondary education with a preference for post-secondary education in Statistics GIS Data Science Computer Science or related field and returning to studies in the next academic term
- Detail oriented with good organization analytical and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment to problem solve effectively
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact
- Must meet Ontarios minimum working age for the job duties required
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience in GIS and/or data visualization tool and coding/programming
What you will do:
- Prepare and format documents in a professional manner and according to MPAC specifications (e.g. proper lay-out no typos visually appealing) for supervisor review and approval
- Draft maintain and organize spreadsheets and other corporate documentation to support operational processes including assisting with periodic access reviews and documentation tracking
- Assist in the preparation and organization of content for presentations and metrics
- Assist in the review of data results with the use of statistical software
- Able to write basic syntax for statistical analyses
- Track project deadlines and bring issues forward to the supervisor ensuring that they have been resolved within the appropriate time standards
- Attend meetings recording minutes and aggregating responses for leadership review
- Assist in the preparation of reports to measure quality of business work objects
- Other duties as assigned
Summer Student Wage Rates:
- Summer Students currently enrolled in secondary school or students working solely on administrative activity: $17.60 per hour
- Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary first-time hire: $18.35 per hour
- Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary returning employment: $19.35 per hour
Duration of Employment: May through to the end of August
