The role
This is a full-time position and you will work from any of our main locations including Bristol Warrington (Cheshire) Leicester (Leicester) and Preston (Lancashire). Flexible working patterns are available.
Day-to-day youll be required to:
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering inputs for bids and live projects ensuring safe compliant and timely delivery.
- Coordinate engineering scope schedules governance activities and resource planning.
- Shape engineering solutions that are competitive robust and aligned to customer requirements.
- Manage engineering risks safety considerations and verification and validation plans.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders partners and customers to ensure clear communication and technical alignment.
Essential experience of the Engineering Manager:
- Experience working within a highly regulated industry such as nuclear chemical defence or aerospace.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively across diverse technical disciplines.
- Strong commercial and business awareness in a technical environment.
- Bids experience is not essential development will be provided.
Qualifications for the Engineering Manager:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent) with significant demonstrable experience.
- Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.
Security Clearance
