Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead hotel operations and drive new growth opportunities in the Long Island market. The ideal candidate is a strategic hospitality leader with a proven ability to manage hotel operations maximize financial performance build high-performing teams and identify expansion opportunities.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can deliver exceptional guest experiences while positioning the property for market growth brand development and revenue optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee all hotel operations including Rooms Food & Beverage Sales Engineering and Housekeeping.

  • Ensure full compliance with brand standards company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain exceptional guest satisfaction scores and service quality standards.

Financial Performance

  • Drive revenue growth and profitability through strategic budgeting and financial management.

  • Monitor and manage P&L forecasting and cost controls.

  • Identify opportunities to improve RevPAR ADR and occupancy performance.

Growth & Market Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Long Island market.

  • Build relationships with local businesses corporate clients tourism organizations and community partners.

  • Support hotel expansion initiatives acquisitions and development projects.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit train and mentor a high-performing leadership team.

  • Foster a culture of accountability engagement and service excellence.

  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for department leaders.

Sales & Revenue Strategy

  • Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to drive group corporate and leisure business.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor performance.

  • Implement strategies to maximize market share and revenue opportunities.

Guest Experience

  • Ensure delivery of exceptional guest service and brand experiences.

  • Proactively resolve guest concerns and maintain high online review ratings.

Qualifications

  • 510 years of hotel leadership experience including General Manager or Assistant General Manager roles.

  • Experience with major hotel brands (Hilton Marriott Hyatt IHG preferred).

  • Strong understanding of hotel financial management and revenue strategy.

  • Proven success in team leadership culture building and operational excellence.

  • Experience with new hotel openings acquisitions or property repositioning is a plus.

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or related field preferred.
