Manulife Investment Managements Private Equity group provides capital solutions ranging from junior debt financing equity co-investments and fund commitments to private equity managers with proven track records. The Private Equity Asia team is based in Hong Kong and is focused on private equity investments across the Asia-Pacific region through fund commitments and equity co-investments.

The Analyst Intern will be principally responsible for supporting the investment team in managing and monitoring the existing investment portfolio. The Analyst Intern will also be responsible for supporting other aspects of the investment process including due diligence on potential investments.

Position Responsibilities

Assist in preparing periodic investment reviews on existing investments

Assist with ad hoc portfolio-related analytical projects and reporting initiatives

Assist with due diligence on fund partners across various geographies and fund strategies

Assist with due diligence on prospective equity co-investments including reviewing historical financial performance industry dynamics and competitive analysis valuation analysis and financial modelling

Required Qualifications

Undergraduate or graduate students with a major in finance economics or business administration

Candidates should have a demonstrated passion for investing and interest in private market transactions

Strong English language verbal and written communications skills are required

Strong proficiency with Excel

Team player capable of working with various internal and external teams in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision demonstrating a high degree of initiative judgement and professionalism
