The Country Manager - India will have overall responsibility for the development and
execution of the country business plan aligned to company objectives and market
conditions and ensuring operational excellence.
The role requires a balance of commercial focus operational understanding services &
engineering engagement regulatory awareness and people leadership to achieve
sustainable market performance. The postholder will act as the senior representative incountry
responsible for financial performance compliance customer satisfaction and
organisational reputation. The role requires collaboration with functional and global teams
while maintaining accountability for local decision making.
Responsibilities include:
Develop implement and facilitate strategic plans to increase the companys market
share performance profitability and brand awareness in India
Oversee all aspects of business operations within India which includes taking
responsibility for facilitating revenue profit cash operational and quality targets
Coordinate with functional leaders and managers globally (Sales Services
Technology Operations Finance) to establish and monitor objectives and KPIs to
ensure consistency and delivery
Manage relationships and deliverables with our joint venture partner
Establish and maintain productive external relationships with clients regulators
partners and suppliers to protect the companys interests and support market
development
Ensure adherence to local regulatory legal and compliance requirements
Identify business opportunities potential partners markets and competition
Recruit train and lead a high-performance national team establishing clear
objectives monitoring delivery and fostering a culture of accountability and
outstanding customer service to deliver operational targets
Prepare and present regular business reviews strategic recommendations and
reporting on performance and KPIs to senior leadership
Monitoring and controlling expenditure
Ensuring the companys products and services meet the needs of customers
escalating to functional leaders and proposing corrective action plans where
appropriate
Manage and resolve country specific issues that may arise
Qualifications
Proven established experience as a Country Manager (India) or similar role with
responsibility for national operations
Demonstrable track record of achieving commercial and operational targets and
driving market growth.
In-depth knowledge of market conditions and business practices in India
Technology manufacturing industry experience
Excellent leadership team management communication and negotiation skills
Strong commercial and business acumen
Strong financial literacy with experience in budgeting forecasting and financial
analysis.
Ability to manage stakeholder relationships across multiple functions (Sales
Services Finance Technology etc).
Equally comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical levels
Ability to travel regionally and internationally as required
Strong problem-solving skills and accountability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
High level of personal integrity
