Network Cabling Project Manager

Salary: $80000 $120000 per year
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Cabling Project Manager to lead and manage network infrastructure and low-voltage cabling projects. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning installation and completion of fiber optic and copper cabling systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project timelines.
The ideal candidate has strong project management experience in telecommunications or structured cabling environments and can effectively coordinate with clients technicians and internal teams to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities

Manage network cabling projects from planning through completion ensuring schedules budgets and quality standards are met.

Oversee installation of fiber optic and copper cabling systems including splicing termination and testing.

Review and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate installation and implementation.

Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards for low-voltage systems.

Coordinate with technicians vendors and clients to ensure successful project execution.

Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for telecommunications systems including data and voice networks.

Conduct testing and quality checks using appropriate tools and equipment.

Maintain project documentation progress reports and communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications

Experience managing network cabling or telecommunications projects.

Strong knowledge of fiber optic cabling splicing termination and testing.

Ability to read and interpret network schematics and construction drawings.

Familiarity with NEC regulations for low-voltage installations.

Hands-on experience with cabling installation tools and testing equipment (e.g. ohmmeter).

Experience working with telephone systems and structured cabling infrastructure.

Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment is a plus.

AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Strong communication organization and leadership skills.
