About the role:
The FPRR Program includes an initial intensive intervention phase delivered through a mobile and integrated approach followed by a sustained service support phase aimed at preventing at-risk children entering or re-entering care.
FPRR work collaboratively with families child protection and the families support systems to assist the family to develop and achieve self-identified goals. Families may be experiencing complex challenges such as early Child Protection involvement disability-related care needs mental health concerns substance use family violence or their own history of being in care.
The FPR Practitioner will provide whole-of-family outreach wraparound services to families where childrens ages range from unborn to adolescents. Working flexibly as part of a team they will report to the FPR Coordinator.
TheFPR Practitioner willdeliver services in the home and community as needed for approximately 4 to 6 months. However if needed the intervention may benefit from more extended engagement before being referred to other team will deliver services in the familys home with FPR Practitioners being with the family several times per week to build the families capacity to provide for their childrens health safety and development as well as work towards building their self-reliance and sustainability through access to education vocational training and employment
This is a Full-Time Fixed Term Opportunity (Ending in April 2027) based in Footscray within our Family Preservation Reunification Program. The position reports to the FPR Coordinator
