Position Overview

ThePurchasing Agent / Buyer Iis responsible for coordinating the procurement of materials parts and supplies needed to support production and operations. ThisPurchasing Agent / Buyer Irole works closely with vendors engineering and internal teams to ensure materials are ordered tracked and delivered on time.

The idealPurchasing Agent / Buyer Iis organized detail-oriented and comfortable managing purchase orders vendor communications and inventory planning in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.

Required Experience & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent required
13 years of purchasing supply chain or manufacturing experience preferred
Strongcomputer skills and familiarity with business systems
Intermediate Microsoft Office skillsincluding Excel Word and Outlook
ERP system experience preferred
Strongcommunication organization and problem-solving skills

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Reviewinventory usage and reorder points using ERP reports
Create and managepurchase orders for raw materials and components
Communicate withsuppliers regarding pricing lead times and order requirements
Request and reviewvendor quotes for new and existing materials
Track orders andfollow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery
Expeditelate orders and communicate updates to internal teams
Identify and evaluatealternative suppliers when needed
Collaborate withEngineering and Quality teams regarding product specifications and material changes
Reviewengineering change orders related to materials and parts
Manage purchasing ofMRO (Maintenance Repair and Operations) supplies
