Position Overview
The Head of Training & HR Consultancy will lead the organizations training capacity building and HR advisory services portfolio. The role is responsible for designing innovative HR solutions delivering high-impact training programs expanding consultancy services driving revenue growth and positioning the organization as the preferred HR partner for members.
Develop and execute an annual training strategy aligned to member needsDesign industry-relevant training curricula (HR labour laws compliance leadership mediation productivity etc.)Develop an annual training calendar and ensure implementationLead regional and national training programsIdentify emerging trends and develop responsive training solutionsEvaluate training effectiveness and impactSourcing external trainers and creating a pool of qualified resource persons
Provide expert HR advisory services to member organizationsLead consultancy assignments including HR audits policy development CBA negotiations support performance management systems organizational restructuring and compliance reviewsDevelop standardized HR toolkits and templates for membersOffer strategic labour relations guidance
Offering recruitment support to members from time to time as per the requirements of the members
Develop and implement a consultancy revenue generation strategyIdentify new business opportunities within and outside membershipPrepare proposals concept notes and consultancy contractsBuild partnerships with training institutions and professional bodies
Engage HR Directors Farm Managers and CEOs on emerging HR issuesRepresent the Organization in HR forums stakeholder meetings and industry eventsStrengthening collaboration with unions regulators and government agenciesResponsible for PR & Communication to all stakeholders
Manage training budgets and HR consultancy income targets
Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management Business Administration or related fieldCertified HR professional (CHRP-K)Minimum 510 years progressive HR experienceDemonstrated experience in HR consultancy and training facilitationStrong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and industrial relationsExperience working within an agricultural sector is an added advantage
