The Role: Why Your Expertise Matters:

You wont just be sitting behind a desk. You will be a hands-on technical lead responsible for the continuous availability and reliability of high-value assets. Your mission is to partner with over 15 major asset owners over the next three years providing innovative fault resolution and strategic performance optimization.

What Youll Do:

Technical Mastery: Apply first engineering principles and thermodynamic depth to diagnose and solve complex problems within Balance of Plant (BoP) systems.
Strategic Optimization: Leverage design maintenance and operational data historians to enhance asset reliability and delivery world-class consultancy.
Project Leadership: Manage high-energy projects from inception to delivery ensuring they are on time within budget and technically flawless.
Mentorship: Act as a technical lead and safety champion guiding junior engineers and fostering a culture of excellence.

Requirements

Technical Requirements & Qualifications:

We are looking for a "seasoned" professional who speaks the language of high-pressure systems and industrial data.

Education: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (Masters or Project Management certification is a plus).
Experience: 510 years in an industrial power plant or petrochemical environment specifically with high-energy assets.
Core Knowledge: * Deep expertise in Thermodynamics and Balance of Plant equipment sets (Heat exchangers surface condensers air cooled condensers lube oil systems pumps etc.).

Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs PFDs and General Arrangement drawings.
Proven track record in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
Familiarity with design codes (ASME VIII ASME B31.3/31.1) and fitness-for-service standards (API 579-1).

Tools: Proficient in MS Office/Project and data analysis tools. Experience with FEA CFD or AutoCAD is highly advantageous.

Required Skills:

Requirements: BEng or BSc Degree or equivalent in electrical / mechanical engineering Professionally registered engineer certification will be advantageous. > 15 years of rotating equipment industry experience with a track record in solving complex problems on various types of rotating equipment sets such as steam turbines gas turbines pumps compressors & reciprocating engines. Proven track record in effective problem-solving capability within the various industries through project references Extensive experience in rotor dynamics and vibrations. Experienced in rotating equipment design and engineering analysis (CAD FEA etc.) Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis planning and reporting. MS Office / Project / Google Skills & Knowledge: Design Knowledge of design techniques tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans blueprints drawings and models. Engineering and Technology Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles techniques procedures and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. Mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance. Administrative Knowledge of administrative and drawing office procedures and systems such as word processing managing files and records stenography and transcription designing forms and workplace terminology. Building and Construction Knowledge of materials methods and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses buildings or other structures such as highways and roads.
