Job Summary

Senior Residential Support Worker

Location: Oldham

Hourly Rate: 14.50 per hour

Contract Options: 37.5 hours per week or 48 hours per week

Sleep-ins: Typically 11 per month 52 per sleep-in

Service: Ofsted-regulated solo childrens home

Qualifications Required: Level 4 Children Young People and Families Practitioner (Residential Pathway) or Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised by Ofsted)

Experience Required: Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated childrens residential home

About the Sector

Working in childrens residential care can be both challenging and highly rewarding. The role involves supporting young people who may have experienced trauma instability or significant life challenges. The Opportunity

Our client is opening a brand-new solo childrens home in Saddleworth Oldham. This is an opportunity to join the service from the outset and play a key leadership role in establishing a calm structured and therapeutic home environment.

The home is designed as a solo placement allowing the team to provide focused relationship-based support for a young person with complex needs. As Team Leader you will play a central role in ensuring consistent practice on shift while supporting staff to deliver safe high-quality care.

The Role

As a Team Leader you will provide leadership on shift and support the day-to-day running of the home. You will role-model best practice ensure safeguarding and regulatory standards are maintained and support staff in delivering therapeutic relationship-based care.

You will work closely with the management team to maintain a stable and well-structured environment where the young person can feel safe supported and able to make positive progress.

Calm child-centred leadership style
Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of childrens home regulations
Able to role-model good practice and support staff development

Salary Options

Option 1 37.5 Hour Contract

Hours: 37.5 per week
Hourly rate: 14.50
Base salary: 28287.50

Sleep-ins: Typically 11 per month
Pay per sleep-in: 52
Annual sleep-in value: 6864

Total annual package (base sleep-ins): 35151.50

Option 2 48 Hour Contract

Hours: 48 per week
Hourly rate: 14.50
Base salary: 36192

Sleep-ins: Typically 11 per month
Pay per sleep-in: 52
Annual sleep-in value: 6864

Total annual package (base sleep-ins): 43056
