Job Title: Pharmacy Delivery Driver
Reports to: Chief Pharmacist or VP of Pharmacy Operations
Status: Non-Exempt
Summary
The Delivery Drivers primary responsibility is to operate a motor vehicle (van utility van automobile etc.) on public roads and highways to transport medications and supplies in a timely manner. Deliveries will be made from Lewis Drug Pharmacies and other locations to private and public healthcare facilities and potentially homes and apartments. This person must have a professional demeanor and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn Lewis Drug policies and procedures and perform them daily
- Professionally manage and assist in all scheduled deliveries and new deliveries
- Current and valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to read a map and/or use a GPS device
- Maintain the confidentiality of patients private medical information according to the HIPAA Act
- Obey all traffic laws and assure self-safety at all times
- Maintain accurate paperwork and logs
- Assist other drivers when needed
- Promote Lewis initiatives and represent Lewis in a positive manner to our patients and communities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy Operations Facilities Manager and pharmacy staff

- Possess the initiative to plan for and complete daily activities in coordination with other pharmacy team members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (or in progress)
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
- Basic math and computer skills
- Must be at least age 18
- Current and valid drivers license and clean driving record are required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Work with full range of hands wrists and arms (i.e. Ability to pick up and pinch small items with fingers and seize hold grasp or turn objects with hands)
- Ability to lift/move items up to 50 lbs occasionally up to 10 lbs frequently and less than 10 lbs constantly
- Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
- Must have depth perception color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) and field of vision
- Must have ability to communicate verbally with staff and patients
- Must be able to load and unload vehicles
