CDL B Truck Driver

We have been servicing the construction industry for 88 years and are looking to expand our reach. We are searching for qualified individuals to join our team of ready-mix concrete drivers. Locations include Romeo Chesterfield Richmond Marysville Marine City and Croswell. Come join the Team!

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced or novice concrete mixer driver at all our locations to better serve our customers in a safe timely and respectful manner. We are willing to train qualified individuals with a valid CDL license and airbrake endorsement.

Tasks

Responsibilities:

• Transport concrete materials over land to and from manufacturing plants to job sites
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform some preventative maintenance
• Follow routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document load times & unload times
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size weight route designations parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects accidents or violations
• Maintain proper concrete loads

Requirements

Skills:

• Proven work experience as a concrete mixer driver (Preferred)
• Ability to drive long hours
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic weather conditions etc)
• Valid truck driving license
• Detailed and thorough communication
