Bookkeeper

Cape Town is seeking a
detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping experience and proficiency in
QuickBooks and/or Xero who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and taking ownership of the full bookkeeping function.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting
- Capture and reconcile financial transactions in QuickBooks or Xero
- Assist with VAT calculations and submissions
- Support the preparation of documentation for auditors and accountants
- Maintain organised and accurate financial documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years bookkeeping experience
- Experience using QuickBooks and/or Xero
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Advantageous
- Relevant finance or accounting qualification
- Experience working in a SME or fast-paced environment
