Job Summary
- Cryostat and microtome sectioning
- Develop and execute disease relevant immunohistochemistry assays and perform quantitative image analysis
- Run relevant plate-based immunoassays
- Contribute to the characterization and validation of experimental therapeutics
- Communicate data clearly and concisely to the appropriate client teams and stakeholders
- Be able to thrive in a team environment
Qualifications :
Education
- BS/BA degree with 3-5 years of industry or academia experience
Required Experience and Skills
- Tissue embedding microtome and cryostat sectioning.
- Strong general knowledge of methods in immunohistochemistry in situ hybridization and method optimization and troubleshooting
- Proven experience in image acquisition and strong microscopy skills
- Strong working knowledge of mouse and human neuroanatomy
- Ability to work independently on data analysis including a practical knowledge of statistics
- Ability to present data in small group meetings.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Experience with automated immunostainers (e.g. Ventana)
- Expertise in applying histology markers of Alzheimers disease related pathologies (amyloid plaques Tauopathy Gliosis and neuroimmune function) strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative image analysis (e.g. ImageJ Indica labs HALO HALO-AI Python)
- Experience running plate-based biomarker immunoassays
Additional Information :
The position is Full Time Monday through Friday 8am-5pm with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Boston MA are encouraged to apply.
