Speech & Language Therapist Fixed Term (12 months)

Speech & Language Therapist : The 14-point salary scale for the post as of 01/02/2026:

63199 64424LSI

New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service Local Authorities Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.

Horizons is seeking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Speech & Language Therapist in paediatric services. The successful applicant will work within an interdisciplinary team as a member of one of Horizons Childrens Disability Network Team 6 in East Central Cork.

This role involves working as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team in providing services to children with complex needs and their families. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their clinical skills and competencies in areas such as Augmentative and Alternative Communication and Feeding Eating Drinking and Swallowing.

Essential Criteria:

A BSc in Speech & Language Therapy or its equivalent is required.
The successful applicant must have up to date CORU registration.
Applicants must have the right to work in Ireland and hold up to date valid employment permissions.
Applicants should hold a full clean driving licence and have their own vehicle at the time of application.
Experience supporting children with disabilities and their families is desirable but not essential.
