Job Title: IT Project Manager (PMP Certified- 14 years of exp)
Location: Atlanta GA - (Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
- Manage and coordinate all tasks for small medium and large-sized IT projects with moderate to high complexity and risk.
- Provide full lifecycle project management oversight through the project management and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Work closely with business leads vendor project managers business analysts subject matter experts and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage projects according to Statements of Work (SOW) vendor contracts and guidance from the project steering committee.
- Assist stakeholders during project initiation to determine optimal approaches to meet business objectives.
- Develop project management plans including scope management risk management communications management change control performance measurement and project tracking.
- Monitor project execution and performance while providing status updates to leadership including milestones risks issues and progress.
- Conduct project status meetings and provide ongoing direction to project teams.
- Evaluate and manage scope changes and provide recommendations to project sponsors.
- Perform product verification processes to confirm deliverables meet client expectations.
- Conduct lessons-learned reviews at project completion to improve future project performance.
- Oversee project cost schedules resources scope risks and issue management.
- Develop or review project schedules cost estimates and project budgets.
- Facilitate process assessments and redesign initiatives to improve operational efficiency and project outcomes.
- Collaborate with project steering committees and senior management to enhance project governance and delivery processes.
- Direct project team members and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Ensure adherence to project management standards procedures and quality objectives.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and clearly communicate roles responsibilities and expectations.
- Ensure project team members have the necessary tools access and training to perform their roles effectively.
- Manage scope negotiations using project data to balance time cost and quality constraints.
- Plan coordinate schedule track and report on project activities.
- Lead change management efforts impacting project delivery and organizational processes.
- Identify improvement opportunities within projects and recommend structural procedural or operational changes to improve performance.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams including scheduling task assignments and progress monitoring.
- Monitor project milestones and critical deadlines and proactively resolve scheduling issues.
- Assess deviations from project plans and implement corrective actions to maintain scope cost schedule and quality objectives.
- Conduct formal reviews with business sponsors and leadership during execution and project closure to confirm acceptance and satisfaction.
- Provide constructive performance feedback to project team members.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders vendors sponsors and key clients.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Business or related field (or equivalent specialized training and experience).
- PMP Certification from PMI (Required Certification must be provided).
- Experience leading IT projects of moderate to high complexity within the last 10 years.
- Hands-on experience using MS Project MS Visio SharePoint 2013 and Microsoft O365.
- IT project management experience.
- Experience coordinating or leading vendor-managed projects within the last 5 years (highly desired).
- Experience working in public sector or government IT environments (highly desired).
- Experience operating in outsourced or vendor-managed delivery environments (highly desired).
- Strong executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management presentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work with senior leadership business sponsors vendors and cross-functional technical teams.
