Job Title: COBOL Mainframe Developer- 10 years of exp

Location: Atlanta GA - (Onsite)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

• Translate business requirements analysis documents and technical specifications into structured COBOL programs
• Develop maintain and enhance custom mainframe applications using COBOL DB2 CICS and JCL
• Modify and test user data entry screens batch processes reports queries and menu-driven programs
• Perform detailed code reviews and analyze existing code data and business processes to support application improvements and non-database functions
• Execute testing activities including program change validation test file updates job execution and results verification
• Troubleshoot debug and resolve production issues in mainframe environments
• Identify and correct data errors using application logic and develop data analysis and summary reports using IBM and Microsoft tools
• Develop and maintain batch job control processes using JCL and scheduling tools such as Control-M
• Assist in modernization initiatives including migration of COBOL applications to web-based or open system architectures
• Enhance existing software to improve performance efficiency and reduce operating time following organizational standards
• Prepare and maintain program-level and user-level documentation supporting the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to obtain user acceptance and sign-off before production deployments
• Follow organizational procedures for version control code checkout migration and deployment processes
• Support integration testing system testing and production release activities
• Participate in support activities including root cause analysis and ongoing maintenance of enterprise systems
• Work with relational databases including DB2 and PostgreSQL for data management and reporting
• Utilize AWS cloud services in support of modernized application environments
• Develop or support Java-based components integrated with legacy mainframe systems
• Utilize Kofax solutions for document capture workflow automation or integration with enterprise systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects business analysts and infrastructure teams
• Experience in COBOL development on Mainframe environments
• Experience with COBOL DB2 JCL and Control-M
• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL DB2 CICS and JCL programming
• Experience preparing comprehensive program-level and user-level technical documentation
• Experience working with PostgreSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience on Java programming knowledge and integration experience
• Experience working with Kofax solutions
• Strong debugging troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
• Experience working through the full Software Development Life Cycle including design development testing and deployment
• Ability to analyze complex systems correct data errors and develop data analysis reports
• Experience supporting production environments and resolving application issues
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and obtain user approvals
