Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong proficiency in Okuma machines to join our weekend shift team. This is a setup-level rolenot entry-levelrequiring hands-on experience with CNC machine setup operation and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate can work independently read and interpret complex blueprints and ensure precision machining with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate Okuma CNC lathes and/or mills according to production requirements. Perform full machine setups including tooling offsets work holding and program adjustments. Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings GD&T and specifications. Verify part dimensions using calipers micrometers height gauges and other precision measurement tools. Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet tight tolerances. Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance. Follow safety procedures and uphold quality standards throughout shift operations. Qualifications Required: Previous hands-on experience operating and setting up Okuma CNC machines. Minimum 23 years of CNC machining/setup experience (nonentry level). Strong understanding of machining processes speeds/feeds and tooling. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation. Familiarity with precision measurement tools. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently. Ability to work the full weekend shift (Fri/Sat/Sun). Work Schedule & Pay Weekend Shift: Friday Saturday Sunday Work 36 hours get paid for 40 hours Competitive pay based on experience Potential overtime opportunities may be available
