About the Department / Team

Our team consists of 12 dedicated test engineers each contributing their expertise across multiple projects. We work closely together sharing responsibilities and supporting each other to deliver high-quality results.

The work is highly varied one day you are testing products in real-world conditions the next you are analyzing data at your computer and another day you are hands-on in the lab. You will be part of a team with great colleagues who make the job enjoyable and collaborative Adam Garp hiring manager.

About the Role

As a Test Engineer you will perform testing and verification of our handheld petrol-driven LME products and handheld battery-powered products such as grass trimmers brushcutters leaf blowers hedge trimmers and chainsaws.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Strength and functional testing
• Acting as a coordination point towards surrounding functions for example specialist functions within different projects
• Developing test methods and measurement system analyses as well as supporting other R&D functions
• Measurement and verification design and construction of fixtures and rigs and reporting of product technical performance and technical documentation

Field testing is another important part of the role. This may include field testing in Sweden as well as occasionally abroad. You can expect a varied and exciting role with tasks that will challenge and further develop your skills as a Test Engineer.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest and solid technical competence. As the role involves close collaboration with many other departments it is important that you are a team player and flexible in your way of working. No two days are the same with us and we need to be able to quickly adapt to changing priorities.

The work is varied and you should enjoy combining hands-on practical work with for example report writing. We believe you enjoy testing and trying out new solutions.

• You have either completed a technical education or gained equivalent knowledge through work experience
• You have very good command of both Swedish and English spoken and written

Experience from similar work is considered a merit.

Location
Our team is based in Huskvarna where we strongly believe in the value of working closely together. Some flexibility is possible but we aim for onsite presence since collaboration is at the core of how we work.
