What success looks like in this role:
Operational Leadership & Service Governance
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Managed Security Services across assigned global enterprise accounts.
- Lead SOC managers/leads and analysts across shifts and tiers (L1/L2/L3) including hiring onboarding coaching and performance management.
- Ensure 24x7 coverage effective shift handoffs workload balancing and surge capacity during major incidents.
- Drive a strong culture of accountability quality and continuous learning (certifications tabletop exercises threat hunting skill progression).
- Build succession plans and reduce key-person risk.
- Serve as senior escalation point for major incidents and executive-level service issues.
- Define track and continuously improve Delivery Center performance metrics including:
- MTTD / MTTA / MTTR detection-to-disposition time containment time
- SLA compliance (alert triage escalation reporting)
- Case quality false positive rates tuning effectiveness
- Coverage metrics (use-case coverage log source onboarding detection efficacy)
- Customer satisfaction client escalations audit findings
- Lead weekly/monthly operations reviews with dashboards trends root-cause analysis and action plans.
- Lead automation and service optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort and standardize service delivery
- Collaborate with global delivery centers account teams and clients to ensure service quality meets and exceeds expectations
Financial & Margin Accountability
- Own cost-to-serve performance and delivery margin alignment.
- Monitor staffing utilization workforce planning and cost structures.
- Identify and remediate margin erosion risks.
- Support financial forecasting quarterly reviews and true-up discussions.
- Partner with Finance and Account teams to prevent revenue leakage and ensure scope alignment.
Multi-Team Leadership
- Lead multiple managers across SOC operations engineering and service management.
- Define clear performance expectations and accountability frameworks.
- Build high-performance teams with strong ownership culture.
- Drive talent development and succession planning across critical MSS roles.
- Address performance gaps decisively and constructively.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and balance speed with rigor during high-severity incidents.
Client & Executive Engagement
- Serve as primary offshore delivery leader for assigned MSS accounts.
- Participate in governance forums and executive service reviews.
- Communicate operational risks remediation plans and financial implications with clarity.
- Strengthen client confidence through structured delivery discipline.
Growth & Solution Enablement
- Partner with Account and Pre-Sales teams to shape MSS and security transformation opportunities.
- Validate operational feasibility of proposed solutions prior to deal closure.
- Support structured transitions from solution design to steady-state operations.
- Contribute delivery insights into pricing scope validation and margin planning.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- 10 years in cybersecurity operations or managed security services.
- 35 years leading multi-team 24x7 SOC or MSS environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-scale global accounts.
- Experience operating within offshore/global delivery models.
- Proven track record improving operational efficiency or margin performance.
- Incident response operations and command leadership.
- Vulnerability management lifecycle and risk-based prioritization.
- Preferred: IAM operational processes (JML access reviews audit support).
- Preferred: GRC service delivery control monitoring and compliance operations.
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of SOC operations incident response and vulnerability management.
- Experience overseeing SIEM/MDR platforms (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel LogRhythm or similar).
- Working knowledge of cloud security and network security concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large enterprise or public sector clients.
- Exposure to SOC modernization or security transformation initiatives.
Relevant certifications (CISSP GIAC ITIL Azure/AWS Security).
