Position Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Enterprise Payments Technology (EPT) and be part of a dynamic and fun team with amazing leadership. EPT is a global payments team which provides a wide range of financial platforms and services. EPT is made of core payment business technology functions including Merchant Solutions Card Issuing Digital Wallets Transfers Liability Payments and Settlement. EPT facilitates the movement of roughly $693 trillion through the processing of approximately 18.8 billion transactions a year to more than 66 million consumer/small business relationships and 2 million wealth management clients.
This role is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilitiesof the role include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional non-functional and compliance role ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/easeof integration and testing built-in from the outset. These individuals possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements
- Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
- Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Utilize multiple architectural components (across data application business) in design and development of client requirements
- Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work
- Design/develop/modify architecture components application interfaces and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Design/develop/maintain automated test suites (integration regression performance)
- Set up and develop a continuous integration/continuousdelivery pipeline
- Automate manual release activities
- Mentor other Software Engineers and coach team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years experience designing and developing RESTful services using Java J2EE Spring Core Spring Boot Spring Cloud Hibernate and JBoss Oracle Copilot
- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit Mockito or Powermock
- Proficient in DevOps tools : Eclipse Git/BitBucket Maven Jenkins SonarQube
- Good understanding of application design patterns and Object oriented programming
- Great communication skills both oral and written
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experienced in Spring Batch
- Experienced with relational databases and SQL scripting
- Experienced in monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
