As a Security Officer - Office Park Patrol Driver in Reston VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced telecom and technology location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents and deliver strong customer service through clear communication and quick support for guests and staff. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees contractors and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of office areas corridors parking areas and the building perimeter with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas during patrols verify authorization as required and report unusual activity and/or policy violations to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting emergency services and/or site contacts as directed by post orders.
• Complete required reports and shift documentation communicate observations during shift transitions and assist with basic customer and/or visitor questions while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
