Job Summary

Atlas Tech a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities is seeking a passionate flexible motivated team player to join our group of highly motivated professionals. If you are comfortable in fast paced environments can think on your feet and excel in team-based collaborative efforts then this may be the right fit for you. Atlas Tech is seeking a User Experience (UX) Engineer for an effort to provide systems engineering and integration of Naval Messaging software systems.

This is an Onsite position located in beautiful North Charleston SC

You Will:

Develop and maintain overall style guidelines for UI elements within each application consistent with Department of Defense and US Navy standards
Create workflow design documentation (including wireframes mock-ups and/or interactive prototypes) for desktop applications and web sites ensuring designs are user-centered accessible and align with mission goals
Consult with UI developers to account for UI framework technical capabilities (and limitations) in proposed designs
Communicate design ideas and prototypes to stakeholders to receive user buy-in prior to development team implementation
Work with program technical leadership and development teams to decompose designs for phased/iterative implementation
Collaborate with development and test teams throughout sprints to validate intended output
Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iteratively improve existing system designs
Assist program technical leadership with system requirement capture analysis and tracking
Stay updated on the latest UX trends tools and technologies

You Have:

U.S. Citizenship
A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to hire date
Bachelors degree in UX Design Human-Computer Interaction Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a UX design or front-end development role
Proficiency in the use of design tools such as Sketch Figma or Adobe XD
Proficiency in modern software design patterns
Strong documentation and oral communication skills to clearly communicate with all levels of users engineers managers and organizations
Ability to work with others in a highly collaborative environment
Self-Motivated strong work ethic and commitment to quality
Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
Experience with leading and mentoring junior staff while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
10 years of IT experience
DoD Certifications to be qualified as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II. Obtain Sec Certification within 6 months of hire

Wed be Impressed if You Had:

A Bachelors degree or higher in computer science or engineering
Experience with Git familiarity with GitLab GitLab Pipelines Artifactory Confluence and Jira
Knowledgeable with integrated development environment (IDE Visual Studio Code) for GIT management and code revision
Experience with programming/scripting languages (BashPythonHTMLJAVA)
Experience with developing robust standardized development environments for teams of developers that integrate custom tools and automated testing capabilities
Experience with Test Driven Development.
Experience creating and managing services in AWS or Azure
Experience with Satellite
Experience with VMWare virtual infrastructure
Experience with Linux administration and BASH scripting
Certified ScrumMaster Certification
Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation
Red Hat certification in OpenShift
Microsoft certification (i.e. MCIT MCSA MCSE etc.)
LinuxRed Hat certification (Linux RHCE)
Certifications: ScrumAgile CISSP SANS ITIL PMP
