Job Summary
Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounts for our retail store operations in Nigeria. This role is specifically for an Indian expatriate with strong accounting expertise capable of handling all aspects of accounting independently.
- All aspects of daily accounting operations for retail stores in Nigeria.
- Prepare and review financial statements including P&L balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian accounting standards and internal financial policies.
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconcile accounts regularly.
- Utilize Tally ERP or equivalent accounting software for efficient transaction processing and reporting.
- Develop and deliver detailed financial reports using advanced Excel functions and data analysis.
- Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis to inform business performance.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide guidance and support to local finance teams as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant preferably in retail accounting.
- Excellent knowledge of Tally ERP or equivalent accounting software.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including advanced formulas and reporting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
