JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

The HR Generalist is an entry-level role responsible for supporting employees and managers with general HR inquiries and managing transactions across the full employee life cycle. This role plays a key part in delivering efficient high-quality HR services and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in HR processes and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle routine HR inquiries and manage them through completion in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct HR transactions including new hire orientation leaves of absence exit meetings and other employee life-cycle activities
  • Process HRIS transactions while ensuring data accuracy integrity and quality
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies processes and self-service tools; escalate issues to internal Centers of Excellence (COEs) or external resources as needed
  • Participate in and assist with site and employee engagement events
  • Support departmental HR projects and initiatives as required
  • Define develop and maintain clear and concise documentation for procedures work processes and reports
  • Collect analyze and prepare HR-related data and visual materials including scorecards and dashboards as needed
  • Perform root-cause analysis using data to identify performance gaps and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer service
  • Occasionally assist with vacation coverage job fairs or special HR events

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of HR-related experience (internships or entry-level experience considered)
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Able to work 3rdshift10:30 PM6:30 AM Sunday through Thursday.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM certification (or progress toward certification) is a plus
  • Experience working with HRIS systems
  • Interest in HR process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
