Instructional Coach Purpose:
The Instructional Coach will work as a colleague with classroom teachers to build teacher capacity and help ensure high-quality instruction in order to increase student achievement and engagement in all areas. The Instructional Coach will focus on individual and group professional development that will expand and refine the understanding and implementation of the districts instructional framework.
Reports To: Building Principal
Pay Rate: According to certified salary schedule including 10 flexible extended contract days
The general role of the Instructional Coach will be to support teachers and/or assist administration in the following ways:
- Align instruction with curriculum to meet the needs of all students
- Skillfully support teachers to implement high quality instruction by utilizing the districts instructional framework
- Design and facilitate collaboration amongst teachers through highly effective PLCs
- Facilitate instructional rounds with teachers to drive professional development growth and best practices within the building
- Work collaboratively with each teacher to support growth in district building and personal goals
- Spend time in classrooms to support delivery of effective instruction
- Prioritize work that has the most potential to impact student learning
- Organize coaching so that it aligns with the accountability measures that are in place
- Participate in data driven conversations to ensure that student achievement data is used to make instructional decisions
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal or District Administration
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training
- Bachelors degree in education
- Masters degree preferred
- Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience
Skills/Knowledge:
- Ability to support all staff in a positive and encouraging manner
- Ability to work with a variety of content areas and a variety of experience levels
- Organized and data driven decision maker
- Experience with data analysis and grouping of students preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Multitasking abilities
- Teacher leader that is skilled at collaboration and works well with peers
- Committed to on-going professional growth
- Understanding of the formative and summative assessments required by the district/state
Success for All (SFA) Facilitator
Purpose:
The Success for All (SFA) facilitator will coordinate the successful implementation of the SFA program. To accomplish this task the SFA facilitator will provide instructional support for teachers during the 90 minute block of SFA each day. The role of the SFA facilitator will also include data analysis mentoring peers coordinating assessments and SFA related meetings and collaboration with a variety of stakeholders. The SFA facilitator works closely with the community staff and administration of USD 250.

The role of SFA facilitator will be to:
- Support teachers as an instructional facilitator
- Support teacher growth in implementing the program to enable achievement for all students through regular classroom observations and teacher feedback and planning sessions.
- Provide collaborative support to teachers through problem solving modeling lessons scheduling opportunities for peer observations and providing training.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with faculty as a mentor not as an evaluator.
- Provide instruction and support on teacher data entry and access to resources within Member Center and Teacher Portal.
- Monitor implementation of SFA.
- Manage maintain and distribute the inventory of all SFA program materials.
- Coordinate data system for SFA program
- Maintain and organize student achievement data using Success for All Foundations Member Center Data Collection system for Kindergarten-5th grade.
- Weekly monitoring and analyzing of Classroom Assessment Summaries and other Member Center data.
- Reading-mastery levels are determined quarterly using Member Center FastBridge and state assessment data and teacher input. They are tracked quarterly using the Grade Summary Form.
- Facilitate and organize the quarterly assessment process reading-group rosters the regrouping of students and the determination of tutoring needs based on students reading mastery.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders
- Be an active member of the Leadership team and invest time in the School-wide Solutions teams.
- Sustain staffs growth in reading instruction by scheduling and facilitating Leading for Success quarterly meetings and regular instructional component team meetings.
- Communicate regularly with Success for All Foundation and fully participate and prepare for each Success for All Foundation support visit and training.
- Communicate about and coordinate the program with the building principal and other district SFA facilitators.
- Prepare reports for the school district as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal or District Administration.
- Commit to on-going professional development as an SFA facilitator
- Develop an in-depth understanding of all SFA program components and their theoretical foundation.
- Participate in all Success for All Foundation professional-development opportunities.
