Job Summary
Responsibilities include release of drawings generated by global Design Center and the creation and maintenance of Engineering Bills of Materials and Part attributes.
Drawing releases include:
- review of drawing files to ensure conformity to Design Standards
- correction of drawings as necessary
- conversion of drawings to PDF format on CAD system (Catia & Onshape) monitoring of converted file size
- release of PDF files
- the maintaining of released drawings and CAD models in the Design database
support of Design regarding current design standards on new drawings and models
Creation and maintenance of EBOMs and Part attributes include:
- creation of master data within PDM which includes EBOMs and sales basic views and the transfer of this data into SAP
- reading engineering drawings and verifying changes made match the changes requested on DECOs and ECRs
- entering specific attribute data based on drawing type into PLM
- working with Design Dept. and develop Engineers as needed to correct discrepancies
- producing reports on Engineering Change records Master Data and EBOMs
Other Administrative jobs within Configuration Control if needed.
Qualifications:
Background in Engineering environment preferred.
CAD system experience highly desirable.
Skills:
Knowledge of CAD systems and standard drafting practices a plus.
Computer skills required including proficiency in MS Office suite: Word Excel PowerPoint and Access.
Must be fluent in English with good written and verbal skills.
Must be self-directed and detail oriented with problem solving skills.
Familiarity with Engineering drawings is helpful.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule if necessary.

Will be proficient in all relevant computer applications including PLM SAP.
Will have a good knowledge of company and department activities.
Will be able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
